Samastipur: In Samastipur district of Bihar, the nomination round is going on for the three-tier panchayat elections. In this sequence, the nomination work for the elections to be held in the eighth phase ended on Wednesday in Dalsinghsarai and Vidyapatinagar blocks. Here, Ratan Kumar, the outgoing head of the Warranty Gadhsisai Panchayat and the candidate, Ratan Kumar, filed his nomination form on the last day of nomination at Vidyapatinagar block office. After this he surrendered before the police present there.

There was also discussion about the early release of Mukhiya among the depressed supporters. Regarding the matter, SHO Prasunjay Kumar said that CR 168/18 was registered against the outgoing chief, in which the outgoing chiefs were accused.

Police was looking for the chief

Taking cognizance of the matter, the court had issued an arrest warrant against outgoing chief Ratan Kumar. The police had been looking for him since the warrant was issued. Information was received from the sources that outgoing Mukhiya Ratan Kumar is going to file nomination for the post of head candidate from Gadhsisai Panchayat. The police was active at the enrollment center regarding this.

In such a situation, after nomination, Ratan Kumar surrendered before the police. After this, the police arrested him and sent him to judicial custody. Here, two candidates have filed their nominations on the last day of the ongoing nomination for the post of Zilla Parishad member at Dalsinghsarai subdivision office.

In this regard, SDO cum RO (Panchayat) Gyanendra Kumar told that Priyanka Kumari and Upendra Rai have filed the form from regional constituency number 24. At the same time, RO (Panchayat) cum BDO Prakriti Nainam of Vidyapatinagar block said that on the last day 18 for the post of headman, 12 for the post of Panchayat Samiti, 4 for the post of sarpanch, 63 for the post of ward member including women and women for the post of ward member. Male candidates have filed their nomination papers.
